It has just been surveyed recently that Cebu has been topped second for the worst city for driving. As part of aiding, if President Rodrigo Duterte would approve the proposal by the end of the year, work on a big-time infrastructure project in Cebu would start on the later part of next year.

There's a budget amount for the proposal which would reach P9.13 billion pesos, Efren Carreon said, the regional director of the National Development Authorit in Central Visayas (NEDA-7)

Carreon also stated that the viability study for this planned project has already been approved by the NEDA's Investment Coordinating Committee's technical board just this September 1, 2016 which the next process will be the evaluation and approval of the ICC Cabinet Committee on 28th of this Month. Carreon gave updates on the CIP project after he was asked why no projects were included for Cebu in the recently approved rollout of nine infrastructure projects worth over P171 billion by President Duterte, which he approved barely 100 days since he assumed office.
