| Ctto: Senator Cayetano (Left) and Senator Trillanes (Right) It can be recalled that the last week's probing for war on drugs has caused intense reactions from both parties. Senator Cayetano questioning the credibility of Senator Lila Delima's Witness- Edgar Mato bato. To further recall, during the session, when Cayetano asked some questions to the witness when Trillanes interrupt him and had his mic turned-off. Trillanes however, said that he just have it done to stop Cayetano who seemed to be abusing his privilege speech. Just today, senator Trillanes published an apology letter for his demeanor. “This is to express my apology for my demeanor during last Thursday’s hearing of the committee on justice and human rights,” Trillanes said in his one-page letter to Cayetano on Monday. “It was brought about because of the intense passion and emotion of the moment. Nonetheless, it was uncalled for,” he said. “Be assured that such incident will not happen again,” Trillanes added. The two engaged in a verbal tussle during the hearing that at one point, Trillanes turned off Cayetano’s microphone while the latter was grilling a witness and confessed hitman Edgar Matobato.
